The submitter: “I know, I know. This looks like a horribly unimaginative wish, but my plan is to use it as a sort of a pilot for my classroom (I teach in a large, urban public high school). My goals: have students use the iPad on a rotating basis to take notes (either with a bluetooth keyboard or a stylus) that are then posted on our website, take pictures of chalkboard notes, maybe tweet daily homework; down the line, I’d love to have the students use iBooks Author (we have a handful of old macs in the classroom—mostly G5s) and/or Snapguide to create some mini book projects, and the iPad would allow us to test the books and present them to the class; the eventual goal would be to acquire approximately 7 iPads so that we could have enough for small-group work; and I’m also interested in the possibility of dictation software for use with kids with special needs.”
